Auroville

Auroville is a trial township in Viluppuram locale generally in the province of Tamil Nadu, India with a few sections in the Union Territory of Puducherry in South India.
The idea of Auroville - a perfect township dedicated to an analysis in human solidarity - went to the Mother as ahead of schedule as the 1930s. In the mid 1960s the Sri Aurobindo Society in Pondicherry proposed to Her that such a township ought to be begun. She gave her gifts. The idea was then put before the Govt. of India, who gave their sponsorship and took it to the General Assembly of UNESCO. In 1966 UNESCO passed a consistent determination lauding it as a venture of significance to the eventual fate of humankind, consequently giving their full consolation.
