Chitrakoot Uttar Pradesh

Chitrakoot region is one of the areas of Uttar Pradesh territory of India, and Chitrakoot town is the region central station. Chitrakoot region is a piece of Chitrakoot Division.The locale possesses a region of 3,45,291 km².

The area has a populace of 990,626 (2011 Census). Starting at 2011 it is the second minimum populated area of Uttar Pradesh (out of 71), after Mahoba. Chitrakoot implies the ‘Slope of many marvels’. 

Chitrakoot falls in the northern Vindhya scope of mountains spread over the conditions of Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh. Chitrakoot region in Uttar Pradesh was made on 4 September 1998. Chitrakoot Parvat Mala incorporates Kamad Giri, Hanumaan Dhara, Janki Kund, Lakshman pahari, and Devangana renowned Religious mountains.
