It is a well known traveler goal and slope station.[1] It is found 45 kilometers (28 mi) from Anantnag on the banks of Lidder River at a height of 7,200 feet (2,200 m). Pahalgam is the home office of one of the five tehsils of Anantnag locale. Pahalgam is connected with the yearly Amarnath Yatra.
At a height of 2,130m and around 95-km from Srinagar, Pahalgam is likely the most prominent slope resort in the Kashmir valley. Since it is preferably lower than Gulmarg the evening time temperatures don’t drop so low and it has the further preferred standpoint of the lovely Lidder River running directly through the town.
Pahalgam is arranged at the intersection of the Aru and Sheshnag Rivers and encompassed by taking off, fir-shrouded mountains with exposed, snow-topped pinnacles ascending behind them. The Aru streams down from the Kolahoi ice sheet past Lidderwat while the Sheshnag from icy masses along the immense Himalayan.
