Vedagiriswarar Temple Tamil Nadu

Thirukazhukundram is located on State Highway 58, 70 km away from Chennai and 15 km away from the famous tourist town Mahabalipuram. It is also 15 km away from Chengalpattu. Near road links are, 10 km away from Old Mahabalipuram Road, 10 km away from East Coast Road and 15 km away from GST road. 

Tirukazhukundram’s name is gotten from kazhughu, which means bird. At one time, two birds took off over the Shiva sanctuary over the close-by slope each day at noon, and the minister at the sanctuary gave them nourishment as a custom. As indicated by legend, these falcons were not common hawks, but rather two rishis whom a revile had changed into fowls. 

The legend likewise said that the falcons would quit going to the sanctuary amid the Kali Yuga. The birds have not been located as of late, which is viewed as a sign that the Kali Yuga has starte.
