Badrinath Uttarakhand

Badrinath is a blessed town and a nagar panchayat in Chamoli region in the territory of Uttarakhand, India. It is the most essential of the four locales in India’s Char Dham journey and gets its name from the sanctuary of Badrinath. 

Badri alludes to a berry that was said to develop richly in the territory, and nath signifies “Master of”. Badri is additionally the Sanskrit name for the Indian Jujube tree, which has a palatable berry. Some scriptural references allude to Jujube trees being rich in Badrinath. Badrinath was reëstablished as a noteworthy journey site by Adi Shankara in the seventh century. In prior days, travelers used to walk many miles to visit Badrinath sanctuary.
