Spituk Monastery

Spituk Monastery, additionally better as Spituk Gompa or Pethup Gompa, is a Buddhist religious community in Leh region, Ladakh, northern India. 8 kilometers from Leh. The site of Spituk was honored by the Arhat Nyimagung. 
It was established by Od-de, the senior sibling of Lha Lama Changchub Od when he came to Maryul in the eleventh Century. He presented the devout group. At the point when Lotsewa Rinchen Zangpo (Translator) went to that place he said that an excellent religious group would emerge there thus the cloister was called spituk (model).
