Odisha (some time ago Orissa), an eastern Indian state on the Bay of Bengal, is known for its tribal societies and its numerous antiquated Hindu sanctuaries.The capital, Bhubaneswar, is home to several sanctuaries, eminently the complicatedly cut Mukteshvara.
The Lingaraj Temple complex, dating to the eleventh century, is set around sacrosanct Bindusagar Lake. The Odisha State Museum is centered around the zone's history and condition.
