Belum-Cave Andhra Pradesh

Belum Caves is the second biggest collapse Indian subcontinent and the longest collapses fields of Indian Subcontinent, known for its stalactite and stalagmite developments. Belum Caves have long entries, open chambers, new water displays and siphons. The holes achieve its most profound point (120 feet from passageway level) at the point known as Pataalaganga.

Belum Caves gets its name from “Bilum” Sanskrit word for caverns. In Telugu dialect, it is called Belum Guhalu. Belum Caves has a length of 3229 meters, making it the second biggest characteristic collapses Indian Subcontinent. This hole is made by constant underground stream of water washing the delicate limestone far from nearly harder layer. There are various chambers with different names. Pathways are made, electric light and cool air is orchestrated in the chambers. Don’t know why, they have made a superfluous simulated wellspring inside the hollow diverging from nature.
